Dessert Overload

These are the desserts that I had to choose from last night at The Bubble Room. It was an excruciating elimination process and I felt like I should give the Red Velvet Cake a red rose at the end.

Vacation Food Diary

Vacation Food Diary
Day 1:

8:00 am-I start the day with scrambled eggs, 1 piece of bacon and lots of water.

( Feeling good about my choices and pumped up that this vacation I’m going to encompass all things healthy)

1:20-Fried grouper bites, seasoned French fries and unsweetened tea.

(Not very good but I can recover)

5:45-1 fish (grilled) taco, half a cup of rice and beans and unsweetened tea.

(I’m on fire)

7:23-Kilwins pistachio ice cream sundae.

(Vacation treat)

10:12-Flamin Hot Cheetos and a Reese’s Crunch candy bar.

(7-11 is literally next door)

Notes: Today started off good but quickly went downhill. Tomorrow, I will start fresh and add more fruits and veggies to my diet.

Day 2:

7:15 am

Den: I could go for a donut.

Me: I want an eclair!

Den: If you rub my back, I’ll get you an eclair.

Guess who got their back rubbed this morning?

Beach Bound

Den woke up to me singing…”We’re going to the beach…we’re going to the beach…we’re going to the beach”

Followed by: Running Man dance moves (I twisted my ankle).

Anyhoo, we’re going to the beach.

Thursday in Italy

Here’s a throw back picture. Not because it’s Thursday but because I want it to be Thursday and I want to be in Italy again. Actually I want to be in Italy more than I want it to be Thursday.  Thursday in Italy would be perfect.

If you are observant, you will notice we were in Soave Italy and that my last name is Soave.

I can’t take any credit for this except for the fact that I took a chance and married into this family that originated from Italy. *Where they take naps in the middle of the day and apparently that sealed the deal for me.

Georgia Take 2

The scoop is that my husband was promoted and transferred to Georgia.  This is exciting and challenging (to say the least) for me.  And to say I’ve been a bit wishy washy about how I’m going to pull this off is an understatement.  Here’s the gist of what my friends and family have been dealing with….

Me (1st idea):

Den was promoted and transferred to Georgia.  We are moving there, buying a house and I’ll commute back and forth (to help take care of family).

Me (2nd idea):

There is no way I can move to Georgia with everything going on.  We will make our townhouse in Illinois our main residence and just rent a place in Georgia and that way we can stay mobile.  I’ll commute back and forth (to spend time with Den).

Me (3rd and final idea):

We are moving to Georgia, in the process of buying a house and I’ll commute back and forth (to help take care of family).

All this and action to carry out each of these plans took place within a one month period.

I was a maniac.

Things I’ve learned:

  1. Idea 1 and 3 are the same.  Always stick with your original answer.
  2. Idea 2 was me freaking the hell out.
  3. I think I have way too much on my plate.
  4. Basically, any way you look at it, I’m commuting back and forth.
  5. Midway and Atlanta Airports are going to be my third and fourth homes.
  6. I’m tired just thinking about it all. Maybe I can sleep on the plane.
  7. On a positive note, I should rack up a bunch of frequent flyer miles.
  8. Just when you think your life has become humdrum, life throws you a curve ball.

Most of you know that we’ve moved a bazillion times in the past 16 years and I’ve loved the adventure, but this one has been a rough one.  I guess it’s because I have so much responsibility in Illinois but I would never hold my husband back from his goals either.  So, this is how it’s going to be and I’m placing it the powers above.

We lived in southern Georgia in 2001 for 6 years and loved it and I am already starting to love it here.

If I could convince all my loved one’s to move here with me, the above situation wouldn’t be an issue.  Maybe once winter strikes again in the Midwest, they’ll change their minds.

Whomever created this, I would like to order one.  Or not.  Yeah, maybe.
